Now where did those three years go?

Renewing my status as an Independent Consultant with Arbonne marks the anniversary of when I took the decision to start my new business and I can hardly believe I am entering my fourth year. Wow!  Time to reflect but more importantly to look forward and there's so much to look forward to.  Here are a few of the best bits!

Summer has been hiding the sun for much of July here in Devon so I'm really glad I escaped for 10 days of Greek sunshine in Crete.  For the third year in a row, I didn't get sunburned and that's because of using Arbonne's Sun Care. I have to confess I was using the discontinued sun care for the body as I had some to finish off but I added the new Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum for Face and was delighted with the feel and the result.  Back in the UK, in Cornwall last week, I scrupulously covered my Grand-daughter with Arbonne Baby Care water resistant sun care - it was hot!  I am delighted with the protection it provided her.  

Business is booming!

The lead up to September is a really exciting time when we have our Arbonne Advantage Conference and this year it's a bit nearer to home for me in Birmingham which is great! We get to see the limited edition Festive Range (That's Christmas shopping to you and me! - I can hear you groan....) Make Way for May! And we're not talking politics....

A perfect combination

I can't believe my last Blog was in January - very remiss, however there's been lots going on so it's definitely time to share what's new at Arbonne.  This time last year I was planning my first trip to Vegas to the Annual, Global Training Conference (GTC) - this year it was held in April (without me!) GTC marks the launch of new products and this year heralds some fabulous new looks for lips.

With Smoothed Over Lipsticks in 16 luxurious colours (I've just taken delivery of Camelia, Peony and Dream) 10 new shades of Glossed Over Lip Gloss and 6 new Lip Liners there's a luscious look for everyone.

Includes a sunscreen just for the face!

Then just in time for the first bursts of Spring sunshine - which has been pretty hot in Devon, our new Arbonne Liquid Sunshine suncare has arrived.  Mineral sunscreen formulas provide UVA/UVB broad spectrum protection and feel extra lightweight, smooth and non-greasy.  I shall be ordering my full range with my next order so my customers can test it.

That was 2014 - but this is a brand new year in Arbonne!

I feel pretty slack for not having blogged in such a long time but it's been super busy!  It's that time of the year to take stock though and there's nothing like doing a tax return to remind you of where you've been and what you've done.  So here's a snapshot of some of the best bits of my Arbonne year in 2014 followed by the exciting momentum that's already brewing in 2015!

There was my decision to go to the Global Training Conference in Vegas - a decision taken at a time when I could go with my mentor and friend who sadly became unwell and couldn't go. One of my proudest moments was taking the plunge and deciding to go anyway - not a big deal for some people but for me I'd never done a long haul flight on my own before so it was a huge adventure.  I'm so very glad I did it.  While Vegas was not on my 'places to visit' list it turned out to be an amazing experience - not least being with 13,500 Arbonne consultants in one space.  


They sure know how to party!  I made some fabulous new friends from America and Canada who still keep in touch through Face Book. And the swimming pool was incredible.


I invested in the Arbonne Cosmetic Box to launch my 'pamper party' service, another great decision.  This has really helped me grow my business and introduced me to some wonderful people - mostly women!  West Devon has become a hot bed of Arbonne customers who love the products and have said some wonderful and hilarious things about the changes using our skincare has brought about - all good I hasten to add!

September was the Arbonne Advantage Conference in Liverpool and after a (rather long - it was a Friday afternoon at rush hour) road trip with the girls we had an amazing time. The black tie and tiara party was brilliant and hopefully we're a good advertisement for our products.

November saw the fundraising event for Axhayes Cat Protection League - mini make-overs for a queue of women of all ages, skin types and colouring.  A good sum was raised for a cause dear to my hear (our very own Ted & Tilly came from here!) and I gained some more good customers as a result.  November was also very special as my first Independent Consultant joined my team - Rob, a great friend who can achieve great things from this business.  I achieved a promotion to District Manager and was given a fabulous pair of crystal earrings by my mentor, Linda Davies-Carr in recognition (I can't remember that happening in any other job!)

December saw Chris, from Crediton come along to join our team - and then we were three! Chris understands network marketing really well, is loving the products and is going to be a great addition to the team.  I squeezed in a lunchtime pamper session for a group of women at a local charity and gained another 5 clients and interest from one of the women, Jess, in joining Arbonne - a great way to bring the year to a close.

We're already seeing growth with Jess joining our team on the 3rd January. Jess is from Exmouth in East Devon and brings our team up to 4.  Meanwhile we have some fabulous new limited edition products being launched this month to mark Arbonne's 35th anniversary.

Autumn in Arbonne Means Activity!

September has been a truly fabulous month in Arbonne with the launch of some ground breaking new products in the UK including these three products in our nutrition range.  The Full Control and Metabolism Support are designed to help people who want to manage their weight and the Greens Balance which provides a spectrum of proprietary colour blends of whole fruit and vegetable powders — delivering antioxidants, phytonutrients and the fibre you need to have a more balanced, healthier diet every day.  

Me, well I got to have a short break in Italy and then roll on Liverpool where we had our amazing Arbonne Advantage Conference - the annual UK event.  Last year there were 1100 of us coming together, this year 1500 at the Echo Arena.  What's really exciting is that this is the time our Limited Edition Festive range is showcased.  I was so impressed I have bought samples of just about the entire range so my Hostesses will be able to offer the chance for their guests to get some Christmas Shopping done in comfort and without the queues! :0)  One or two of my favourites have got to be the Sugar Plum Baked Eye Shadow Pallete and the Kiss At Midnight Lip Conditioner Trio myarbonne.co.uk







October promises to positively fizz with the much awaited Energy Fizz Sticks becoming available in the UK for the first time.  I ordered mine and have been delighted with the results.  Before dashing off to an evening meeting after a night of disturbed sleep I tried my first one - I perked up no end and didn't flag once.  A repeat of the experiment once again gave me a great result and I know I shall be keeping a regular supply in my handbag, car and in the kitchen. And judging by the number of bookings lining up ahead I shall need to keep fizzing!  One that I am really happy to have been selected for is the Exeter Axehayes Adoption Centre for Cats Protection - charity pamper evening on the 17th!   charity-pamper-evening It promises to be a fun event and I hope we raise lots of money for a fantastic cause.

Birthdays and Brilliant New Products!

August 15th was my 2nd anniversary of becoming an Independent Consultant with Arbonne. I can't believe how quickly that time has flown by, nor the impact of that decision on my life.  People who've known me for years can see a marked change in me - a new zest for life, an eagerness to step further and further outside of my comfort zone!  I have a whole new circle of friends and a growing  base of delighted customers.

The year ahead promises to be just as exciting with pamper party bookings in September and October, our Arbonne Advantage Conference in Liverpool at the end of September where we get to see the limited edition Christmas Line (normally I'd groan at the mention of Christmas in August but I can't wait to see the products) and hear about the massive improvements being made for those of us who are part of what is already an amazing business. (I have my early bird ticket and hotel booked!)

The Infrequent Blogger..and why!

For anyone reading this who doesn't know me, it might surprise you to know that I already have a full-time business as a business adviser and trainer supporting social enterprises and co-ops with my lovely business partner, Lorna.  Add to that a large garden, an allotment

which I manage pretty much on my own, a gorgeous grand-daughter and circle of close friends and it might shed some light on why making the time to write a blog can be a tall order sometimes. (Mustn't forget the lovely man too - although happily, he's always got projects http://catyear.wordpress.com/ and hobbies on the go so he doesn't feel neglected...)

However, my Arbonne business has taken me on a journey of self-discovery, learning and stretching myself along the way and I'm committed to communicating the passion I feel for this business.  How many companies out there offer products that have been so meticulously researched and ethically produced?  How many are Vegan Society certified?  Most importantly, I believe in these products having been using them exclusively for nearly two years now, I know that they live up to the claims of Pure, Safe and Beneficial.

From my RE9 smoothing facial cleanser in the shower in the mornings with its gorgeous, natural fragrance to soothing my skin with my night cream at the end of the day I am applying products I trust 100% to my body and face.  What's not to like!

Not the World Cup!

A Sporting Chance!

I didn't watch the French Open nor will I be watching the World Cup (unless England makes it to the finals!)  However, what I have been watching is several people around me becoming extremely successful in their Arbonne business and I have decided that I don't want to be in a spectator sport!  The men are doing particularly well which always brings out my competitive nature. Having now officially retired from Badminton I know exactly how I shall be spending the time instead - investing in my future and that of my family by building my own business a lot quicker - now that's exciting to me!
